Description
The Performance Steering Products 2 GPM Flow Control Valve (PRP1300) is built to regulate hydraulic flow when adapting a GM Type II power steering pump to a Ford-style rack and pinion. Restricting pump output to 2 GPM helps prevent excess flow that can cause bump-steer, harsh feedback, or premature seal wear in the rack, giving the steering system a controlled, predictable feel.
Manufactured from zinc-plated steel for corrosion resistance and long service life, this inline valve installs into the pressure line between the pump and rack. It is a straightforward solution for street rod, muscle car, and race car builders converting a GM steering pump to work with a Ford rack and pinion setup.
