Description
This Chevy Flexplate Safety Scatter Shield (Part #48327) is a zinc-plated steel shield designed to fit around the flexplate on small block and big block Chevy applications, helping contain debris in the rare event of flexplate failure. Its universal fit design makes it a straightforward addition when assembling or servicing a Chevy engine and transmission combination.
Built from 1/8" thick, 3.0" wide zinc-plated steel, this is a non-SFI-rated shield intended for street and mild performance use rather than sanctioned competition requiring SFI certification. It installs using the existing flexplate/torque converter bolt pattern for a clean, factory-style fit.
